Denmark 0-0 Tunisia LIVE: Andreas Skov Olson’s second half strike is ruled out for offside as Christian Eriksen and Co up the ante against the African outfit – after Kasper Schmeichel made a HUGE stop to thwart Issam Jebali
Christian Eriksen’s return to a major tournament proved a frustrating one as his Denmark side were held to a 0-0 draw by a battling Tunisia side.
Eriksen was playing his first major tournament game in 17 months since suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch at Euro 2020 last summer.
Despite the goalless draw, it proved to be an entertaining game at the Education City Stadium where both sides had a goal ruled out for offside in a pulsating encounter.
There was late drama at the end with Denmark denied a penalty in stoppage time after the match official declined to overturn his original decision of no penalty despite a pitchside review.
