SRH Playing XI vs CSK: Kane Williamson will be hoping for a revival in fortunes as Sunrisers Hyderabad go chasing for their first win this season as they face the Chennai Super Kings. Having lost both their games, the 2016 champions will hope to get off the mark, having come agonizingly close last time out against the Lucknow Super Giants. Williamson is unlikely to chop and change his side, but desperation for a win could see the Kiwi pull off some moves with the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad and Umran Malik all having struggled to make an impact. SRH Playing XI vs CSK: WINLESS Sunrisers seek change in Fortunes, will Kane Williamson change batting combination? Follow LIVE Updates
Sunrisers Hyderabad had the last game under their grasp but gave it away in the final stages to be among the three teams that are still winless in the competition. However, runs from Rahul Tripathi and Nicholas Pooran will be a huge positive, while Washington Sundar continues to contribute valuably down the order.
The form of skipper Williamson himself is questionable, while Rs 6.5 crore buy Abhishek Sharma has struggled to live up to his price tag. With the likes of Ravikumar Samarth and Priyam Garg waiting in the wings, Sharma is walking on thin ice and perhaps the CSK clash could be his final chance.

The same could be said for Kashmiri duo Abdul Samad and Umran Malik. Samad and Malik both were retained by the franchise, but have struggled to make any impact in both the games so far. Malik’s raw pace means that SRH are likely to give him a longer rope, but with Kartik Tyagi on the bench, Williamson and the team management’s patience with Umran will surely be tested.
7.75 Crore buy Romario Shepherd has shown glimpses of his potential and the West Indian should retain his place in the XI, meaning Marco Jansen will have to warm the bench once more.
Shreyas Gopal will be in consideration for a spot but the fitness and form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan has been particularly impressive.
